FAST charges Rs 12,000 per credit hour for every BS and BBA programme from Fall 2026, for all batches and at every campus: Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Chiniot-Faisalabad and Multan. Each semester adds a Rs 2,500 Student Activities Fund. A new BS Computer Science student with 15 credit hours pays Rs 232,500 for the first semester, including the admission fee and refundable security deposit.

One-time and semester charges
The admission fee is not charged again if a FAST graduate is admitted to a higher degree. The security deposit is returned when the degree is completed or the admission is closed.

A heavier semester
A student registering 18 credit hours in semester 3 pays 18 × Rs 12,000 + Rs 2,500 = Rs 218,500.
Whole degree
BS Computer Science needs at least 134 credit hours: Rs 1,678,000 over 8 semesters at this year's rate, or Rs 1,658,000 after the security deposit is returned. BS Electrical Engineering, at 140 credit hours, comes to Rs 1,750,000.
Other FAST fees and refunds
Retaking a final exam costs Rs 2,000 per course, a semester freeze within the first two weeks Rs 2,000, and late registration, freeze or withdrawal after the second week Rs 5,000. A campus transfer is Rs 5,000. These charges are non-refundable.
Tuition is refunded under the HEC policy: 100% up to the 10th day of classes, 80% to the 15th, 60% to the 20th and 50% to the 30th day, and nothing after that. The admission fee is never refunded.
FAST fee questions
What is the FAST fee per semester?
Multiply your credit hours by Rs 12,000 and add the Rs 2,500 activities fund. A 17 credit hour semester costs Rs 206,500; 15 credit hours cost Rs 182,500. The first semester also carries the admission fee and security deposit.
What is the FAST University Lahore fee structure?
Lahore uses the same fee structure as every other FAST campus: Rs 12,000 per credit hour, a Rs 30,000 admission fee, a Rs 20,000 refundable security deposit and Rs 2,500 a semester for the activities fund. Lahore is the only campus offering BS Civil Engineering.
What is the FAST fee for BS CS per semester?
BS Computer Science starts with 15 credit hours, so semester 1 tuition is Rs 180,000. Semester 2 has 17 credit hours and costs Rs 206,500 with the activities fund.
How much is the total FAST fee for a BS degree?
At this year's rate, a 134 credit hour degree such as BS Computer Science or Software Engineering costs about Rs 1,678,000 with all charges. Engineering degrees of 140 credit hours cost about Rs 1,750,000.
Is the FAST security deposit refundable?
Yes. The Rs 20,000 security deposit is refunded when you complete the degree or close your admission. The admission fee of Rs 30,000 is not refundable.
Do older FAST batches pay a different fee?
No. FAST states that the 2026-27 rate of Rs 12,000 per credit hour applies to all batches, so a final-year student pays the same per credit hour as a fresh admission.
