Days are NADRA's stated targets and can run longer at busy times. Cancelling the card of a person who has died costs Rs 50.
Which service to choose
Normal
Rs 750. Fine if you are not in a hurry, for example renewing a card that expires in two months.
Urgent
Rs 1,500. The usual choice when a card has expired or you need it for a job, bank or property matter soon.
Executive
Rs 2,500. Fastest. Worth it when a passport, visa or sale deed is waiting on the card.
For a Smart NIC the fee does not depend on age or on whether it is your first card. Only the speed changes the price. A first card without a chip is a separate case, covered in the questions below.
Worked example: a family visit to NADRA
A couple renew their expired cards on executive and register two children for B-forms on normal.

NADRA's own fee page could not be opened by our research tools on 30 September 2026, so these figures come from several independent copies of the NADRA table published in August and September 2026, which agree with each other. One site lists a higher duplicate fee (Rs 1,000 normal); we have not used it because no other copy supports it. Check the fee shown in the Pak-ID app or at the counter before you pay.

What is the CNIC renewal fee?
Renewing a CNIC costs the same as a new one: Rs 750 normal, Rs 1,500 urgent or Rs 2,500 executive. You can renew in the Pak-ID app or at any NADRA centre, and the old card's details carry over unless you change them.
What is the NADRA urgent ID card fee and time?
Urgent costs Rs 1,500 and NADRA's target is about 23 days. Executive costs Rs 2,500 with a target of about 9 days. Normal costs Rs 750 and takes about 31 days.
How much is a duplicate ID card after losing it?
A duplicate Smart NIC costs the same as a new card: Rs 750, Rs 1,500 or Rs 2,500 depending on speed. Apply in the Pak-ID app or at a NADRA centre.
Is the first ID card free?
Yes, if you take the card without a chip. In October 2025 NADRA said anyone who has turned 18 can get a first CNIC without a chip free on normal service (Express Tribune, 29 October 2025). A first Smart NIC with a chip still costs Rs 750 or more. This calculator shows Smart NIC fees.
