The urgent ID card fee is Rs 1,150 for a CNIC without a chip, with a NADRA target of 12 days, and Rs 1,500 for a Smart NIC, with a target of 23 days. Executive service costs Rs 2,150 (6 days) or Rs 2,500 (9 days).

The urgent fee is the same for a renewal, a modification and a duplicate for a lost card. Pick the card and speed above to see the fee, the days and what you pay over normal service.

How many days each speed takes

Speed Without a chip Smart NIC
Normal 15 days 31 days
Urgent 12 days 23 days
Executive 6 days 9 days

Two things stand out. Executive on the card without a chip (6 days) is the quickest service NADRA lists. And a card without a chip on normal service (15 days) is due before a Smart NIC on urgent (23 days). If speed is the reason you are paying extra, choose the card without a chip.

NADRA's notice says the clock starts once the fee is paid. Delivery is on top: NADRA lists Rs 165 to send a card within Pakistan.

What urgent adds over normal

For a renewal on the card without a chip, urgent costs Rs 750 more than normal (Rs 1,150 against Rs 400). On a Smart NIC the step up is Rs 750 (Rs 1,500 against Rs 750). Executive adds Rs 1,750 over normal on the card without a chip and Rs 1,750 on a Smart NIC.

For a first card without a chip the step is bigger, because normal service is free: urgent costs the full Rs 1,150.

Worked examples

A lost card, needed for a bank visit in two weeks. A duplicate without a chip on urgent costs Rs 1,150, with a target of 12 days. A Smart NIC on urgent would take about 23 days and miss the date.

Three family members renewing before a visa appointment. Executive, without a chip: 3 × Rs 2,150 = Rs 6,450, target 6 days. On urgent the three would pay Rs 3,450.

If the card is for a passport, DGIP asks for a valid CNIC first. The urgent passport fee is the next cost.
