OGRA announces each month's price on the last day of the month before. The 45.4 kg column is the per kg price times 45.4.

The big jump came in April 2026, when OGRA raised the price by Rs 78.28 per kg. OGRA said the Saudi Aramco contract price, which Pakistan's LPG price follows, had risen 44% in a month. Prices peaked in June 2026 and fell by Rs 67.33 per kg in July.
How OGRA sets the LPG price
The price follows two things: the Saudi Aramco contract price for propane and butane, and the rupee to dollar rate. OGRA works out a producer price per tonne, which already includes the petroleum levy and 18% sales tax. It then adds a fixed margin for marketing, distribution and transport.

Divide by 1,000 for the price per kg: Rs 258.65. Multiply the per kg price by 11.8 for the domestic cylinder: Rs 3,052.09.
Worked example: what a shop overcharge costs you
Suppose a shop in September 2026 refilled an 11.8 kg cylinder at Rs 480 per kg, the rate Dawn found shops charging in Lahore in July 2026.
- Shop price: 11.8 x 480 = Rs 5,664
- OGRA price: Rs 3,052.09
- Extra paid: Rs 2,611.91, which is 86% above the official rate

OGRA's figure is a maximum price, not a guide. In practice many shops charge far more, especially when supply is short. Dawn reported LPG at Rs 480 to 550 per kg in Lahore, Multan and Muzaffargarh in early July 2026, when the notified price was Rs 241.43. This site is not linked to OGRA. What is the price of 1 kg LPG in Pakistan?
It is OGRA's notified consumer price per kg for the month, shown on the first line of the calculator and in the table above. The price already includes sales tax. OGRA changes it on the first day of every month, so a shop quoting last month's rate may be out of date. Enter 1 kg as a custom weight to see it on its own.
How much is an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder?
OGRA notifies the 11.8 kg price directly each month, to the paisa. It is the per kg price multiplied by 11.8. The table shows it for every month since September 2025. This is the refill price for the gas; a new empty cylinder, a regulator and home delivery cost extra.
What is the price of a 45.4 kg commercial cylinder?
OGRA's notification is per kg and per 11.8 kg. For a 45.4 kg commercial cylinder, multiply the per kg rate by 45.4, which is what the calculator and the history table do. News reports sometimes quote a slightly different 45.4 kg figure because of rounding.
Why do shops charge more than the OGRA price?
The OGRA rate is a ceiling that distributors and retailers are meant to follow, but enforcement is weak, and prices rise further when imports or local supply fall. If you want to complain, keep your receipt and note the per kg rate and the weight the shop filled.
How do I work out LPG price per kg from the cylinder price?
Divide the cylinder price by its weight in kg. Rs 3,052.09 for 11.8 kg is Rs 258.65 per kg. To go the other way, multiply the per kg price by the weight. Check the weight too: a cylinder marked 11.8 kg that holds less gas costs you more per kg even at the right price.
