Your MDCAT aggregate is 50% of your MDCAT percentage, plus 40% of your FSc percentage, plus 10% of your Matric percentage. For MDCAT 2026 the test is out of 180, so each MDCAT mark is worth about 0.2778 aggregate points.
This split comes from the PM&DC Admissions Regulations 2025 and applies to public and private medical and dental colleges in every province. Punjab (UHS), Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KMU) use the same weights. Pick your province above only if you want KMU's five-decimal rounding.
The MDCAT aggregate formula
The formula is the same everywhere in Pakistan for MBBS and BDS:
Aggregate = (MDCAT ÷ 180 × 50) + (FSc ÷ FSc total × 40) + (Matric ÷ Matric total × 10)

The last column shows why MDCAT matters most. One extra MDCAT mark is worth about as much as 7.6 FSc marks, and about 30 Matric marks. If your board totals are 1,200 rather than 1,100, change the "Out of" box and the tool rescales.
Worked example
Say a student scored 150 out of 180 in MDCAT 2026, 1,000 out of 1,100 in FSc and 1,050 out of 1,100 in Matric.
- MDCAT part: 150 ÷ 180 × 50 = 41.6667
- FSc part: 1,000 ÷ 1,100 × 40 = 36.3636
- Matric part: 1,050 ÷ 1,100 × 10 = 9.5455
- Aggregate: 41.6667 + 36.3636 + 9.5455 = 87.5758%
Under the KMU policy the same marks give 87.57576%, because Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rounds the final figure to five decimal places. The extra digit matters when thousands of candidates sit close together on the merit list.
Province by province
Punjab (UHS)
The UHS admission document for MBBS and BDS in public sector colleges, session 2025-26, lists Matric 10%, FSc 40% and MDCAT 50%. The 2026-27 prospectus was not out when this page was written, but the PMDC regulation behind it has not changed.
Sindh
SMBBMU Larkana and PUMHS both publish the same 10/40/50 split on their MBBS eligibility pages for 2025-26. Sindh domicile is required for the provincial public seats.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KMU)
The KP Admission Policy 2025-26 uses SSC 10%, "adjusted marks in FSc or equivalent" 40% and MDCAT 50%. It rounds the final percentage to five decimals. The policy does not define "adjusted" FSc marks, so this tool uses your FSc marks as they are. Ties are broken by age (older first), then Matric marks, then test marks.
Federal and private colleges
Islamabad and private colleges follow the same PMDC 50/40/10 rule. For NUMS colleges, use the NUMS aggregate calculator, since NUMS runs its own test.
What is not in the formula. There is no Hafiz-e-Quran bonus for MBBS or BDS. PMDC ended the 20 extra marks in October 2023, and the 2025 regulations do not include one. O level and A level students use the IBCC equivalence percentage in place of Matric and FSc.
Pass marks are not part of the aggregate
To be eligible you need at least 55% in MDCAT for MBBS and 50% for BDS. With the test out of 180, that is 99 marks for MBBS and 90 for BDS. You also need at least 60% in FSc. These are gates. Clearing them does not add anything to your aggregate.
In April 2026 PMDC made a one-time cut to 52% and 47% to fill vacant 2025-26 seats. That relaxation was for that session only.
On 15 September 2026 a Senate health sub-committee proposed cutting the MDCAT weight from 50% to 30%. That is a proposal only. Nothing has been adopted, so this calculator still uses 50%. We will change it if PMDC changes the regulation.
Things this calculator cannot tell you
PMDC has not published how FSc marks are counted when the Part II result is still awaited, or how UHS rounds. Most colleges use full FSc marks, which is what the tool does. Check your college's merit notice for the final rule.
We do not publish closing merits. They change every year with the number of seats and candidates, and old figures often mislead. Compare your aggregate with the merit lists your admitting body releases.

How is the MDCAT aggregate calculated?
Take 50% of your MDCAT percentage, 40% of your FSc percentage and 10% of your Matric percentage, then add them. For MDCAT 2026 the test is out of 180. So 150 in MDCAT, 1,000 in FSc and 1,050 in Matric (both out of 1,100) gives 41.6667 + 36.3636 + 9.5455 = 87.5758%.
What is the MDCAT 2026 total and is there negative marking?
MDCAT 2026 had 180 MCQs with no negative marking: Biology 81, Chemistry 45, Physics 36, English 9 and Logical Reasoning 9. So your MDCAT score is out of 180, and each mark is worth about 0.2778 points in the aggregate.
Do Hafiz-e-Quran students get 20 extra marks in MDCAT?
No. PMDC ended the 20 Hafiz marks for MBBS and BDS in October 2023, after a Supreme Court ruling that April. The PM&DC Admissions Regulations 2025 do not include any Hafiz bonus. Some university programmes outside medicine still give it, but medical colleges do not.
Is the UHS aggregate formula different from the KMU or Sindh formula?
The weights are the same: 50% MDCAT, 40% FSc and 10% Matric. The only difference we found is rounding. KMU rounds the final aggregate to five decimal places, so the same marks show 87.57576% instead of 87.5758%. Domicile and seat rules differ by province, but the formula does not.
What MDCAT marks do I need to pass?
