NADRA charges Rs 1,000 for a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) of one category, by birth, by marriage or by adoption, and Rs 2,000 for an FRC showing all categories together. NADRA's stated processing time is one day.
Pick the FRC type and the number of certificates. If an embassy or school has told you which category it wants, order only that one.

Which FRC do you need?
By birth
Shows you with your parents and brothers and sisters. Used for succession cases, some school admissions and to prove who your parents are.
By marriage
Shows you with your spouse and your children. This is the one most embassies ask for in family visa cases, and for adding children to a parent's file.
By adoption
Shows a guardian with an adopted child.
All categories
Combines birth, marriage and adoption links in one document. It costs the same as two single FRCs, so it only saves money if you need all three.
Worked examples
A spouse visa for the UK. The embassy wants proof of marriage and of the couple's children. One FRC by marriage: Rs 1,000.
A succession case with two families. The heirs need to show the deceased's parents and siblings, and also his wife and children. That is an FRC by birth and an FRC by marriage (Rs 2,000), or one FRC for all categories, also Rs 2,000. The single all-category certificate is easier to file.
Three brothers each applying for visas. Each needs his own FRC by birth: 3 x Rs 1,000 = Rs 3,000.
Before you apply
An FRC only shows family links that are already on NADRA's record. If a child has no B-form or a marriage was never registered with NADRA, fix that first. A B-form costs Rs 50 on normal. An out-of-date ID card may need renewing before NADRA will issue the certificate.
The FRC can be applied for in the Pak-ID app or at a NADRA centre. Embassies often want it recently issued, so do not order it months before a visa appointment.
