What Prime Rail runs
The Express Tribune reported on 31 October 2026 that Karakoram Express began running under Prime Rail the day before, as 41UP from Karachi and 42DN from Lahore. The train has economy, AC Standard, AC Business and AC Sleeper coaches and a premium lounge car, and passengers get meals, bedding, Wi-Fi and charging points. An opening discount of 25% ran until 6 November 2026.
