NUST has no minus grades. There is also XF (0.00), a fail because of short attendance, which counts like F. To pass a course, an undergraduate needs at least D (1.00).
How NUST relative grading works
Under the distribution gap method, teachers list the class's marks in order and draw grade boundaries at natural gaps in the scores. So the marks needed for an A change from course to course and semester to semester.
That is why a NUST calculator cannot take marks. Once you have the letters from your result, the GPA is exact. Architecture and design programmes use absolute grading instead, but we could not find their mark ranges.

With NUST's half-point steps, moving one 3 credit hour course up a single grade adds 1.50 quality points, or about 0.09 to this GPA.

What are the NUST grade points?
