Sindh pension is pensionable pay x qualifying service (10 to 30 years) x 7/300, and up to 35% can be commuted. Since 18 August 2025, voluntary retirement is allowed after 25 years or at age 55, whichever is later, with a cut of 2% to 10% by age.
Sindh approved moving from last pay to an average of the last three years, but we could not read the text of its August 2025 amendment. So the calculator lets you choose the pay basis; your accounts office will know which one applies to you.
Voluntary retirement cut in Sindh
Notification FD(SR-III)3-2962/2025 of 18 August 2025 amended rule 3.5 of the West Pakistan Civil Services Pension Rules as they apply in Sindh:
| Age at retirement | Cut in pension |
|---|---|
| 59 years | 2% |
| 58 years | 4% |
| 57 years | 6% |
| 56 years | 8% |
| 55 years | 10% |
Example: last pay Rs 125,000, 30 years of service, retiring at 56 years 2 months. Gross pension Rs 87,500; the 8% cut removes Rs 7,000, leaving Rs 80,500. Commuting 35% at age next birthday 57 (13.9888) gives a lump sum of Rs 4,729,613 and a net pension of Rs 52,325 a month.
Worked example: last pay or three-year average
Retiring at 60 in August 2026 with 28 years 7 months of service (counted as 29 years).
| Last pay | Three-year average | |
|---|---|---|
| Pay used | Rs 125,000 | Rs 114,333 (Rs 105,000, Rs 110,000 and Rs 128,000 for 12 months each) |
| Gross pension | Rs 84,583 | Rs 77,366 |
| Lump sum (35% x 12 x 12.3719) | Rs 4,395,117 | Rs 4,020,067 |
| Net pension | Rs 54,979 | Rs 50,288 |
The average gives a lower pension whenever pay rose in the last three years, which is almost always.

What we could not confirm for Sindh: the pay basis after the August 2025 amendment, the family pension share and duration, whether the retirement-year increment still counts, and the minimum pension. The calculator leaves these out or lets you choose. Check with the Accountant General Sindh or your District Accounts Office before relying on the figure.
