The PMS age limit in Punjab is 21 to 30 years, counted on 1 January of the examination year. For exams held in 2026 and 2027 the Punjab government has allowed 2 more years, so the upper limit is 32. Government servants with 4 years' service can be up to 35.

PMS age rules the calculator uses
One category relaxation only. In Punjab the special 2 years is a separate dispensation and applies to every candidate.

Punjab PMS: the 2026 and 2027 relaxation
On 20 August 2026 the Services and General Administration Department notified a special relaxation of 2 years for Provincial Management Service (BS-17) posts filled through the PPSC Combined Competitive Examination. It amends the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules 1976 and runs from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027.
In practice the upper limit is 32 for exams held in those two years. The calculator adds the 2 years only when the cut-off date falls in that window. For a 2028 exam it drops back to 30 and shows a warning, because the relaxation would need to be extended first.
Other Punjab relaxations for the CCE:
- Government servants. Officials of the Punjab government, and federal officials with a Punjab domicile, with at least 4 years' service: upper limit 35.
- Special persons. Up to 10 years under rule 3(vi) of the 1976 Rules.
The 1976 Rules also cap the government servant relaxation at 35 for posts filled on the Combined Competitive Examination.
Worked examples for Punjab PMS
Born 10 February 1995, sitting the 2027 exam. Age on 1 January 2027: 31 years, 10 months and 22 days. Under the old limit of 30 this candidate would be out by 1 year, 10 months and 22 days. With the special 2 years the limit is 32, and there is 1 month and 9 days to spare.
Born 1 April 1992, a Punjab government servant with 5 years' service, same exam. Age on 1 January 2027: 34 years and 9 months. The limit of 35 applies, leaving 3 months.
The same 1995 candidate for a 2028 exam. Age on 1 January 2028 is 32 years, 10 months and 22 days. With the relaxation expired, the limit is 30 and the candidate is not eligible.
PMS Sindh: SPSC CCE-2026
SPSC advertisement 04/2026 for the Combined Competitive Examination 2026 set the age at 21 to 30 years as on 1 September 2026. The closing date was 23 September 2026 and the fee Rs 1,000.
Permanent employees of the federal or Sindh government with at least 4 years' continuous service may be up to 35. Service in autonomous, semi-autonomous or local bodies, or on ad hoc or contract terms, does not count for this concession. Sindh's general relaxation of up to 5 years for department jobs does not apply to CCE posts.
A candidate born on 1 September 1996 is exactly 30 on 1 September 2026 and qualifies. One born a day earlier, on 31 August 1996, is over by 1 day. For a later SPSC exam, change the date field to the date printed in that advert.
PMS in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
KPPSC runs its own PMS exam. In February 2025 the provincial cabinet raised the PMS age limit from 30 to 35 as a one-time measure for the 2025 and 2026 exams. The date on which KPPSC takes age is printed in each advert. Choose "Other" above and enter the limits and date from the KPPSC advert you are applying to.

PMS age questions
What is the age limit for PMS in Punjab?
21 to 30 years on 1 January of the examination year. For exams in 2026 and 2027 a special relaxation of 2 years raises the upper limit to 32. Government servants with 4 years' service can be up to 35, and special persons get up to 10 years.
Is the PMS age relaxation to 32 permanent?
No. The notification of 20 August 2026 covers 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027. After that the limit returns to 30 unless the Punjab government extends it. The calculator warns you when the cut-off date is outside that period.
Does the 5-year general relaxation apply to PMS?
No. The Punjab general relaxation of 5 years for men and 8 for women is used for ordinary PPSC posts. It does not apply to posts filled through the Combined Competitive Examination, so PMS candidates rely on the special 2 years or a category relaxation.
What is the age limit for PMS Sindh 2026?
21 to 30 years as on 1 September 2026, under SPSC advertisement 04/2026. Permanent federal or Sindh government employees with 4 years' continuous service can be up to 35. Contract and autonomous body service does not qualify.
