Most UOG BS programmes rank you on one figure: your Intermediate first year (Part I) percentage, or the first two years of a DAE. Only three groups add more. Engineering takes 50% Part I, 17% Matric and 33% entry test; Engineering Technology takes 70% Part I and 30% UOG test; Architecture takes 60% Intermediate, 30% test and 10% interview.

UOG engineering accepts tests from UET Lahore (ECAT), NED, MUET, NUST, NTS or ETEA. For a test out of 100, enter 100 as the total: the same targets then need 39, 54, 69 and 84. The ECAT aggregate calculator shows how the same ECAT score counts at UET.
Provisional admission. UOG admits on first year results, but the seat stays provisional until you submit your final Intermediate result by the deadline. Computing programmes ask for at least 50% in the consolidated Intermediate result. LLB needs at least 50% in the HEC Law Admission Test (LAT).

How is UOG merit calculated?
It depends on the programme. Most BS programmes use your Intermediate first year percentage alone. Engineering uses 50% Part I, 17% Matric and 33% entry test, so Part I 470/550, Matric 950/1,100 and ECAT 260/400 give 42.7273 + 14.6818 + 21.4500 = 78.8591%.
Is there an entry test for BS at UOG?
Not for most BS programmes. Arts, social sciences, management, sciences, computing and fine arts rank on first year marks. Engineering uses ECAT or another accepted test, Engineering Technology and Architecture use UOG's departmental test, and LLB needs the HEC LAT.
What ECAT score do I need for UOG engineering?
With Part I 470 out of 550 and Matric 950, you need 214 out of 400 for a 75% merit and 274 for 80%. Enter your own marks and a target in the calculator. Closing merits differ by programme and year.
Does UOG use Part I or full Intermediate marks?
The Fall 2026 policy uses first year (Part I) marks for merit, or the first two years for DAE holders. Admission on first year marks is provisional until you hand in the final result. Architecture names Intermediate or DAE marks without the first year limit.
Does the interview count at UOG?
Only for Architecture, where the UOG departmental interview carries 10%, with 60% for Intermediate or DAE and 30% for the departmental test. Enter the interview marks from your merit list, or an estimate, to see where you stand. No other UOG formula has an interview weight.
