SEPCO is the Sukkur Electric Power Company. It serves Sukkur, Larkana and upper Sindh. It charges the same national uniform tariff as every other company.
Worked example: 500 units, unprotected, 2 kW
At 500 units you are at the top of the 401 to 500 slab. All units are charged Rs 38.95 and the fixed charge is Rs 500 per kW.

The bill before income tax is Rs 27,951.66. Because that is above Rs 25,000, a non-filer adds 7.5%.
The 500 unit line in summer
In the hottest months some homes pass 500 units. Crossing that line costs more than one unit is worth:
- at 501 units, every unit moves from Rs 38.95 to Rs 40.22
- fixed charges go from Rs 500 to Rs 675 per kW
- the non-filer total goes from Rs 30,048.04 to Rs 31,368.79

SEPCO unit price, duty and taxes
The per unit rates are the same as on the unit price page. On top come the fuel adjustment of Rs 2.0581 and quarterly adjustment of Rs 0.5194 per unit, the Rs 3.23 surcharge and 18% GST.
Electricity duty in Sindh has been 1.5% on homes. The federal government said in July 2025 it would stop collecting duty through bills, and we have not found a 2026 notice for SEPCO. If your bill has no duty line, untick the box. At 500 units the bill without duty is about Rs 29,655.94.
Reading your SEPCO bill
Use the units consumed for the month and the sanctioned load in kW. If you see an income tax line, that is the 7.5% non-filer charge. It disappears once the name on the connection is on FBR's Active Taxpayers List.

What is the SEPCO unit price?
SEPCO homes pay the February 2026 NEPRA uniform rates. For unprotected users these range from Rs 22.44 (up to 100 units) to Rs 47.20 (above 700 units). At 500 units every unit is Rs 38.95 before adjustments and taxes.

Why did my SEPCO bill jump in June?
Higher summer use often moves a home into a higher slab, where every unit costs more and the fixed charge per kW rises. A bill over Rs 25,000 also adds 7.5% income tax for non-filers. The fuel adjustment can also change from month to month.
Is SEPCO cheaper than HESCO?
No. Both charge the same national tariff, with the same fuel and quarterly adjustments. The HESCO bill calculator gives the same answer for the same units and load.
