Quarterly adjustment billed September to November 2026. It can be negative, e.g. -0.45. Use the figure on your bill if it differs.

Bills round the current bill to the nearest rupee and put the few paisa of difference in the cost of electricity line. The first bill of a new connection can cover more than one month.

A 250 unit electricity bill in Pakistan is about Rs 12,178 with the current adjustments, for a 2 kW home. That is Rs 48.71 a unit, and it is the same for every company, K-Electric included.

No home is protected at 250 units, because protected rates stop at 200. A home that used 200 units the month before as a protected consumer paid about Rs 4,021, so the extra 50 units more than double the bill, and the loss of protected status then lasts six months.

From 200 units to 250: what the extra units cost

Month Bill, 2 kW
200 units, protected Rs 4,021
200 units, unprotected Rs 8,786
201 units Rs 9,952
250 units Rs 12,178

Three things happen past 200 units. Every unit moves to Rs 33.10, the fixed charge rises to Rs 350 per kW, and the FC surcharge goes from Rs 0.43 to Rs 3.23 a unit.

The bigger cost comes later. Protected status needs six straight months at 200 units or less, so after one 250 unit month, each of the next five months at 200 units is billed at about Rs 8,786 instead of Rs 4,021. For a home that is usually near 200, one month at 250 is the most expensive bill of the year, and it shows up in the five after it too.
