LUMS grades each course with a letter, and each letter has fixed grade points. On the scale printed in the LUMS handbook, A+ and A are 4.0, A- is 3.7, B+ 3.3, B 3.0, and so on down to D at 1.0 and F at 0. Your GPA is the credit-weighted average of those points.
Pick the grade for each course and enter its credit hours. If your transcript shows two-decimal points such as 3.67 for A-, switch the grade point scale; the difference is at most 0.03 per course. For CGPA, open the previous semesters section and add your current CGPA and the credit hours it covers.

There is no D+ on this scale, and A+ earns no more than A. The handbook says A+ and F are absolute grades, while grades from A to D may be awarded on relative performance. So there is no fixed marks table: your instructor sets the cut-offs for each course.

Semester GPA = 51.9 ÷ 16 = 3.24.
If your CGPA before this semester was 3.40 over 48 credit hours, your earlier total is 3.40 × 48 = 163.2. The new CGPA is (163.2 + 51.9) ÷ 64 = 3.36.
Repeated courses and the best grade rule
Under the LUMS undergraduate handbook, a course graded C- or below (including F) may be repeated. When you repeat it, the best grade counts in your term GPA and CGPA, and the course's credits count only once. Courses taken again at C+ or above fall under an all grades count policy instead.
To see the effect of a repeat here, remove the old attempt and enter the course once with the better grade. The handbook also sets a minimum CGPA of 2.00 for good standing.
Which scale applies to you? The one-decimal points (A- 3.7, B+ 3.3) are from the scale printed in the LUMS Graduate Handbook. The 2025-26 Undergraduate Student Handbook confirms that A+ is 4.00, the best grade rule for repeats and the 2.00 minimum, but its full table could not be read online. Some undergraduate transcripts may show two-decimal points (3.67, 3.33, 2.67, 2.33, 1.67) instead; we could not confirm this from a LUMS document, so both are offered. Is an A+ worth more than an A at LUMS?
No. Both A+ and A carry 4.0 grade points, so an A+ does not lift your GPA above 4.00. It shows on your transcript as a mark of exceptional work. The handbook treats A+ as an absolute grade, awarded for outstanding performance rather than position in the class.
