128GB against 256GB on passport
Both sizes pay the same Rs 17,600 regulatory duty and 25% sales tax. What changes is the levy, because the 256GB value is above US$700.
| Passport | 128GB | 256GB |
|---|---|---|
| Customs value | Rs 184,362 | Rs 211,490 |
| Regulatory duty | Rs 17,600 | Rs 17,600 |
| Sales tax 25% | Rs 50,491 | Rs 57,273 |
| Mobile levy | Rs 8,000 | Rs 16,000 |
| Total | Rs 76,091 | Rs 90,873 |

iPhone 16, 16e or 16 Plus
The same ruling values the 16e 128GB at US$591 and the 16 Plus 128GB at US$764. The 16e sits in the same slab as a 128GB iPhone 16 and costs Rs 70,900 on passport. Every iPhone 16 Pro is above US$700 from its smallest size. The iPhone 16 Pro PTA tax starts at Rs 98,762 on passport for 128GB.
A used iPhone 16
FBR's used-phone ruling 2070/2026 of 21 April 2026 stops at the iPhone 15 series. A used iPhone 16 has no ruling value, so customs fixes the value when DIRBS issues the PSID. If your PSID shows another value, pick "Enter value in US$" in the calculator and type it in to see how the slab and total change.
