At SZABIST Islamabad you pay tuition for each credit hour you register: Rs 9,000 in BS Computer Science and BS Artificial Intelligence, Rs 7,500 in BBA and Rs 5,500 in BS Psychology. The first semester of BSCS has 16 credit hours, so with the course charges and the Rs 30,000 admission fee a new student pays Rs 198,650.

SZABIST Islamabad first semester fee by programme

How the SZABIST semester fee is worked out
Semester fee = credit hours × per credit hour fee + per course charges + student activity + lab charges.
- Examination fee: Rs 500 per course
- Course registration: Rs 500 per course
- Student activity: Rs 1,500 per semester
- Lab charges: Rs 3,000 a semester for BSCS, BSSE and BSAI; Rs 2,000 for MS Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Management Sciences, Project Management and Business Analytics
At admission you also pay the admission fee of Rs 30,000, a security deposit of Rs 15,000 that is refunded, and Rs 150 for the ID card. Tuition is charged on the credit hours you actually take, so a lighter or heavier semester changes the bill straight away.

BS Computer Science, first semester
- Tuition: 16 × Rs 9,000 = Rs 144,000
- Course, activity and lab charges for 5 courses: Rs 9,500
- Admission charges: Rs 30,000 + Rs 15,000 + Rs 150
- First semester payable: Rs 198,650
A later BSCS semester of 18 credit hours, with the same course charges, is Rs 171,500.
BBA, first semester
19 credit hours at Rs 7,500 is Rs 142,500. With Rs 8,500 in other charges and the admission charges the first semester is Rs 196,150.
MS Computer Science
10 credit hours at Rs 8,500 plus Rs 6,500 other charges is Rs 91,500; the first semester with admission charges is Rs 136,650.

What is the SZABIST fee per semester?
It depends on your credit hours. At Islamabad a BSCS semester of 16 credit hours costs Rs 153,500 before the one-time charges, a BBA semester of 19 credit hours Rs 151,000 and a BS Psychology semester of 16 credit hours Rs 95,500.
What is the SZABIST fee structure for BSCS?
Rs 9,000 per credit hour for BS Computer Science at the Islamabad campus, with 16 credit hours in five courses in the first semester. The first semester comes to Rs 198,650 including the admission fee, security and ID card. BS Software Engineering is cheaper at Rs 7,500 per credit hour.
How much is the SZABIST BBA fee?
BBA is Rs 7,500 per credit hour with 19 credit hours in eight first-semester courses. The semester fee is Rs 151,000 and the first semester payable is Rs 196,150.
What is the SZABIST MBA fee?
The 1.5-year MBA is Rs 8,000 per credit hour with 13 credit hours in the first semester, so Rs 154,650 with admission charges. The 2-year MBA starts with 19 credit hours and costs Rs 204,650 in the first semester.
Is the SZABIST security deposit refundable?
Yes. The Rs 15,000 security deposit is paid once at the beginning of study and is refundable. The Rs 30,000 admission fee and the Rs 150 ID card charge are not.
Is the SZABIST Karachi fee the same as Islamabad?
