The first semester costs Rs 321,250 once the Rs 30,000 admission fee and the Rs 5,000 semester registration fee are added.

UMT fee for each programme, Fall 2026
Rupees. The first semester covers two quarterly instalments, the semester registration fee and the admission fee. The total adds every semester's registration fee, the one-time English Immersion and 21st Century Skills charge and any clinical charges, with no hostel or scholarship.

Clinical charges for Pharm-D, DPT and MLT
Health programmes pay for hospital and clinical work on top of tuition. Pharm-D and School of Health Sciences students, such as DPT, pay Rs 15,000 a quarter from the 5th semester onwards. BS Medical Laboratory Technology students pay Rs 15,000 a quarter for clinical training in the 6th and 7th semesters. UMT also lists this charge for BS Psychology with specializations; the calculator does not add it to plain BS Psychology.
For a Pharm-D student, semester 5 comes to 2 × Rs 144,500 + Rs 5,000 + Rs 30,000 clinical = Rs 324,000.
Worked example: BS Computer Science with hostel

Add a sharing room in UMT Student Housing (Rs 123,600 for six months), generator and internet charges, and the one-time hostel admission fee and refundable security. The first semester then comes to Rs 481,150.
Over the whole degree the BS Computer Science total without hostel is Rs 2,370,000: the Rs 2,290,000 investment, Rs 30,000 admission, eight registration fees of Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 for English Immersion and 21st Century Skills. A 25% scholarship on the instalments brings it to Rs 1,797,496.

What is the fee for BS Computer Science at UMT?
The Fall 2026 investment is Rs 2,290,000 for four years, paid as 16 quarterly instalments of Rs 143,125. With the admission fee, semester registration fees and the English Immersion charge, the degree costs Rs 2,370,000. BS Software Engineering is Rs 2,190,000 before those charges.
What is the UMT fee per semester?
Two quarterly instalments plus the Rs 5,000 registration fee. For BBA that is 2 × Rs 136,875 + Rs 5,000 = Rs 278,750 a semester. The first semester also carries the Rs 30,000 admission fee.
When are UMT instalments due?
On or before 1 March and 1 June in the spring semester, and on or before 1 September and 1 December in the fall semester. Each instalment covers one quarter, which is half a semester.
Is the UMT admission fee refundable?
No. The Rs 30,000 admission fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Under the HEC refund policy UMT follows, the full tuition fee is refunded only within the first week of classes, less a Rs 10,000 processing charge, and nothing after that. UMT alumni pay no admission or form fee.
What is the UMT hostel fee?
A sharing room is Rs 123,600 for six months, plus Rs 11,400 generator and Rs 9,900 internet charges. New residents also pay a Rs 10,000 hostel admission fee and a Rs 5,000 refundable security once.
Are taxes included in the UMT fee?
No. UMT's fee guide says government taxes are extra and that advance tax under section 236I of the Income Tax Ordinance is charged to students whose annual fee is more than Rs 200,000. Check the tax line on your voucher.
