8 marla plot size: 30 × 60 ft
Two DHA rule books give the same size. The DHA Lahore Construction and Development Regulations 2026 (section 4.a) list the 8 marla plot as 30 ft × 60 ft, and DHA Gujranwala's regulations of 2022 use 30 × 60 ft for both residential and commercial 8 marla plots. 30 × 60 = 1,800 sq ft, exactly 8 marla of 225 sq ft.
On the revenue marla, 8 marla is 72 square karam, or two biswa. 8 karam by 9 karam (44 × 49.5 ft) is one way to lay it out.

DHA Lahore
Section 22.a asks for clear spaces of 8 ft at the front, 4 ft at the rear and 4 ft on one side. The ground floor can then be (30 − 4) × (60 − 8 − 4) = 26 × 48 = 1,248 sq ft. The first floor may be 82% of that (section 27.a), or 1,023.36 sq ft, giving about 2,271 sq ft for a double storey.
LDA approved schemes
8 marla is still under 10 marla, so LDA allows 75% ground coverage, 3 storeys and 38 ft (clause 2.2.3). The 5 ft building line and 5 ft rear space leave 30 × 50 = 1,500 sq ft, but 75% of 1,800 is 1,350 sq ft, which is the limit.
