All other bachelor programmes (computing, business, social sciences and the rest) take 15% SSC, 35% HSSC and 50% test. Worked example
A student has SSC 1,000 out of 1,100, HSSC 900 out of 1,100 and 60 out of 100 in the AU-CBT.
Engineering
- SSC: 1,000 ÷ 1,100 × 10 = 9.0909
- HSSC: 900 ÷ 1,100 × 50 = 40.9091
- Test: 60 ÷ 100 × 40 = 24.0000
- Aggregate: 74.0000%
Non-engineering (for example BS Computer Science)
- SSC: 1,000 ÷ 1,100 × 15 = 13.6364
- HSSC: 900 ÷ 1,100 × 35 = 28.6364
- Test: 60 ÷ 100 × 50 = 30.0000
- Aggregate: 72.2727%
The same marks give different figures because the test weighs more outside engineering. Each programme ranks applicants on its own formula, so you cannot compare an engineering aggregate with a CS aggregate.

Under the non-engineering formula the same board marks give 42.2727 points before the test, so the student needs 56 for 70% and 66 for 75%.

There are 100 MCQs for all undergraduate programmes and 120 minutes to attempt them.
Eligibility. FA or FSc students must have passed Part I to register: at least 60% for engineering and 50% for other programmes. Air University says the percentage is not rounded, so 49.9% stays 49.9%. HSSC marks. The merit table names HSSC without saying whether Part I marks are used while Part II is awaited.
