Bahria University ranks undergraduate applicants on 60% admission test, 30% HSSC and 10% SSC. So SSC 950 out of 1,100, HSSC 900 out of 1,100 and 65 in the test gives an aggregate of 72.1818%.

The Bahria merit formula
Clause 2.11.3 of the Bahria University Admissions Policy sets one weightage for all undergraduate programmes: BU admission test or ETS score 60%, HSSC 30%, SSC 10%.
Aggregate = (SSC ÷ 1,100 × 10) + (HSSC ÷ 1,100 × 30) + (Test ÷ 100 × 60)
Worked example
- SSC: 950 ÷ 1,100 × 10 = 8.6364
- HSSC: 900 ÷ 1,100 × 30 = 24.5455
- Test: 65 ÷ 100 × 60 = 39.0000
- Aggregate: 72.1818%
The test carries most of the merit. Each test mark is worth 0.6 aggregate points. The whole SSC result can add at most 10.

The third student has the weakest board marks but the best aggregate, because of an 80 in the test. The second student's strong board marks cannot make up for a test score of 50.
Test marks needed for a target
With SSC 950 and HSSC 900 the student has 33.1818 points before the test.

For a 50% aggregate the maths would need only 29 marks, but the policy's 33% pass mark in the test still applies.
Rules worth knowing
- Test pass mark. Clause 2.10.5 sets 33% as the pass mark in the undergraduate admission test.
- SAT. Clause 2.10.7 lets SAT holders apply to bachelor programmes without taking the Bahria test.
- Result awaited. Candidates waiting for their HSSC Part II result can apply on a hope certificate or undertaking (clause 2.8.5). Use your Part I percentage for an estimate.
- O and A level. You need an IBCC equivalence certificate for your O level at the time of applying (clause 2.8.7). Enter the IBCC marks in the SSC and HSSC rows.
- MBBS and BDS. Bahria's medical and dental colleges follow the national MDCAT rule of 50% MDCAT, 40% FSc and 10% Matric. Use the MDCAT aggregate calculator for those.

How is the Bahria University aggregate calculated?
It is 60% of your admission test percentage, 30% of your HSSC percentage and 10% of your SSC percentage. SSC 950/1,100, HSSC 900/1,100 and a test score of 65 give 8.6364 + 24.5455 + 39 = 72.1818%.
What are the passing marks in the Bahria entry test?
The Admissions Policy sets 33% as the pass mark for the undergraduate admission test. Passing it only makes you eligible for the merit list; your place depends on the full aggregate and the programme's closing merit.
Does the Bahria formula differ for engineering or computer science?
No. The policy gives one undergraduate weightage, 60% test, 30% HSSC and 10% SSC, for all programmes. Each programme still sets its own eligibility, so check the minimum intermediate marks for your programme in the admission notice.
Can I use my SAT score for Bahria admission?
Yes. The policy allows SAT holders to apply for bachelor programmes without sitting the Bahria test. Convert your SAT score to a percentage of the maximum and enter it in the test row as an estimate, then confirm with the admissions office how it is scaled.
