K-Electric supplies Karachi, plus Hub, Uthal, Vindar and Bela in Balochistan. Since February 2026 it charges the same uniform tariff as the government companies, and its fuel and quarterly adjustments are set in the same NEPRA decisions.
K-Electric unit rate list 2026
KE home rates are the national uniform rates in the table on the unit price page. For unprotected homes:

Protected homes pay Rs 10.54 and Rs 13.01. Connections of 5 kW and above are on time of use rates: Rs 46.85 peak and Rs 34.53 off-peak. KE lists its summer peak hours as 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Worked example: 320 units, unprotected, 2 kW
At 320 units every unit is Rs 36.46.

At 300 units the same home would pay Rs 14,787.04. Those last 20 units cost Rs 2,336.50, because all 320 units moved to the higher slab.
What is different about a KE bill
- Same tariff since February 2026. Before that, KE had its own schedule. Old KE rate lists found online may be out of date.
- Same adjustments. NEPRA set the July 2026 fuel adjustment (Rs 2.0581) and the quarterly adjustment (Rs 0.5194) for KE in the same decisions as the other companies.
- Electricity duty. KE's tariff page still shows 1.5% electricity duty for homes, so the duty box is left on.
- Other lines. KE bills have in the past carried a municipal charge. We could not confirm this for 2026, so it is not in the estimate. Add it yourself if your bill shows one.
October 2026 and the fuel adjustment
The fuel adjustment for August 2026, which would appear on October bills, was requested at Rs 1.73 per unit. NEPRA held the hearing on 29 September 2026. If it is approved at that figure, 320 units would cost about Rs 16,998.07. Type the final figure into the FCA box once it is announced.

Is K-Electric more expensive than WAPDA companies?
