At IIUI, an A starts at 80 marks and carries 4.00. Below that, grades step down every 5 marks in half-point steps: B+ 75 to 79.99 (3.50), B 70 to 74.99 (3.00), and so on to D at 50 to 54.99 (1.00).

IIUI has no A-, B-, C- or D+ below A. Each band runs to .99, so 79.99 is still B+. There is no rounding up to the next band.
What is different at IIUI
IIUI is generous at the top. Anyone scoring 80 or more gets a full 4.00, where HEC-style tables give 3.66 for 80 to 84. But the steps below are larger: a single mark can cost half a grade point.
The pass mark also changed. IIUI's older 2019 General Academic Rules set the BS pass mark at 60%. The current UG regulations set it at 50%. If you were admitted before Spring 2024, check which rules your department applies to you.

What is the IIUI GPA system in percentage?

What is the pass mark at IIUI?
Under the current UG regulations, a course is passed at 50%, a D at 1.00. IIUI's older 2019 rules set the BS pass mark at 60%, so students from older intakes should check which rules apply to them. The minimum CGPA for a degree is 2.00.
Does IIUI round marks up?
The regulations set bands running to .99, such as 75 to 79.99 for B+, and state no rounding rule. So 79.5 is B+, not A. Enter your marks exactly as shown on your result. This differs from COMSATS and QAU, which round marks to a whole number before grading.
How do I convert my IIUI CGPA to percentage?
