The handbook states whole-number ranges and no rounding rule, so this calculator does not round marks up. A score of 89.5 stays at A-. The handbook also says the GPA itself must not be rounded off, so keep all decimals when you add semesters together.

Before Spring 2025 Iqra used a shorter scale with a 60% pass mark:

Worked example: why Iqra GPAs look lower
The same marks give a lower GPA at Iqra than on the common HEC-style table, because each Iqra grade starts higher.

Iqra quality points: 9.99 + 8.01 + 9.32 + 11.01 + 8.01 = 46.34. GPA = 46.34 ÷ 16 = 2.90. On the HEC-style table used by COMSATS, the same marks give 3.23.
With a CGPA of 3.05 over 66 credit hours before this semester, the new CGPA is (3.05 × 66 + 46.34) ÷ 82 = 3.02.

What marks do I need for an A at Iqra University?
From Spring 2025 an A needs 90 marks or more and carries 4.00. From 85 to 89 you get A- at 3.67, and from 80 to 84 B+ at 3.33. Under the old scale used through Fall 2024, an A started at 88.
What is the passing mark at Iqra University?
On the revised scale, F is below 50, so 50 marks gives a D at 1.00. The handbook lists C (2.00) as the undergraduate degree requirement and sets probation below a 1.70 semester GPA. On the old scale, anything below 60 was F.
If I repeat a course, which grade counts?
The handbook says the transcript shows the better grade, and that grade is used for your CGPA. You can repeat to clear an F or to improve your CGPA. Students who repeat courses are not eligible for top student honours or awards.
