UET Peshawar grades undergraduates relative to the class. Your marks are first scaled against the highest marks in the class, then placed in one of ten 5-mark steps from 50 to 100. The grade points run from A at 4.00 down to D at 1.00, with F at zero.
The quickest way to use the calculator is to pick the letter grade from your result for each course, with its credit hours. If you know your normalised marks, switch to that mode and the calculator finds the grade for you.

How normalised marks work
UET Peshawar does not grade on fixed percentages. The rules set out two steps:
- Normalise. Multiply your marks by 100 ÷ the highest marks obtained in the class. The topper always gets 100.
- Grade. Split 50 to 100 into ten equal steps of five marks. From the bottom they are D, D+, C-, C, C+, B-, B, B+, A- and A.

The highest marks in a course are 84 out of 100.

So 71 raw marks earns a B here because the topper scored 84. The same 71 in a class where the topper scored 95 normalises to 74.74, which is C+ at 2.33. Your grade depends on how the class did, not only on your own marks.

SGPA = 42.00 ÷ 14 = 3.00. The rules round SGPA and CGPA to two decimal places.
Lab courses are marked on their own scheme but are normalised and graded in the same way. For a combined figure over several semesters, use the previous semesters section above or the CGPA calculator.
Degree and repeats. A degree needs a CGPA of at least 2.0. A course graded F or W must be taken again. A course at C+ or below may be re-registered to improve it, and only the best grade counts in the CGPA.

Does UET Peshawar use relative grading?
Yes. Marks are normalised by multiplying them by 100 ÷ the highest marks in the class, and the normalised range from 50 to 100 is split into ten 5-mark steps from D to A. Below 50 normalised marks is F.
What are the grade points at UET Peshawar?
A 4.00, A- 3.67, B+ 3.33, B 3.00, B- 2.67, C+ 2.33, C 2.00, C- 1.67, D+ 1.33, D 1.00 and F 0.00. These come from Table 01 of the university's undergraduate grading rules.
How do I work out my normalised marks?
Divide your marks by the highest marks in the class and multiply by 100. With 71 marks and a topper on 84, you get 84.52, which falls in the 80 to 84 step and earns B at 3.00. Ask your teacher or check your portal for the highest marks.
What CGPA do I need to graduate from UET Peshawar?
