C1 or D1: which one to choose

The C1 visa is for one trip of up to 60 days and can be extended inside Indonesia. It must be used to enter within 90 days of issue. It suits most holidays and family visits.

A D1 visa lets you enter many times while it is valid, staying up to 60 days each time. It pays off for frequent visitors: the 1-year D1 costs the same as three C1 visas, so it is cheaper only if you travel more than three times a year.

Both visas allow tourism, visiting friends or family, transit, and attending meetings, conventions and exhibitions as a participant. They do not allow work or any paid activity.
