  • citizens of SAARC countries other than Afghanistan, including Pakistan, for up to 30 days on the first visit in a visa year
  • children below 10 years

The Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad puts it the same way for Pakistani passports: a free 30-day tourist visa once per calendar year, with fees for any further visit in the same year. A second trip in October after a first trip in March is charged in full.

If you want to stay longer than 30 days on your first visit, the calculator shows the fee for the visa you choose. Tourist visas can be extended at the Department of Immigration for $3 a day (minimum 15 days), up to 150 days in a visa year, and overstaying costs $5 a day.

On arrival or at the embassy

On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, fill in the online tourist visa form (on the Department of Immigration website or a kiosk at the airport), pay the fee at the bank counter and take the receipt to the immigration desk. Carry some cash.

At the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad, apply in person Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The embassy usually replies within 4 working days, and its tourist visas are multiple entry. A visa from a Nepali mission must be used within six months of issue. Your passport must be valid for at least six months.
