The levy for US$100 to 200 phones is the 2022 figure. If your PSID shows a lower levy, the total falls by the difference.

PTA tax on a used Google Pixel 6 Pro is about Rs 13,158 on passport and Rs 14,694 on CNIC for a filer, at US$110, the value FBR set for it in its used-phone ruling 2070/2026 of 21 April 2026. A non-filer on CNIC pays only Rs 100 more, as withholding tax in this slab is small.

At that value the 6 Pro is just over the US$100 line, in the US$100 to 200 slab: Rs 6,000 regulatory duty, 18% sales tax and a Rs 600 levy.

Worked example: used Pixel 6 Pro on passport

  • Value: US$110 × Rs 276.66 = Rs 30,433
  • Regulatory duty: Rs 6,000
  • Sales tax: 18% of Rs 36,433 (value plus duty) = Rs 6,558
  • Mobile levy: Rs 600
  • Total on passport: Rs 13,158

On CNIC the 4% additional customs duty adds Rs 1,217, the sales tax becomes Rs 6,777, and a filer pays Rs 100 withholding tax: Rs 14,694 in all.

Which value applies: a dealer's stock or your own phone

Ruling 2070/2026 is written for old and used phones, without box or accessories, imported in commercial quantity. It applies whatever the grade or condition, to phones activated at least six months before they were shipped, and it is the only FBR ruling that lists the Pixel 6 Pro. If a dealer's invoice shows a higher value than US$110, customs use the higher figure.

A phone you bring in yourself is a different case. FBR's ruling 1834/2023 says used phones brought in by passengers are assessed at the values in its own list, but that list has no Google Pixel models. So for a traveller's Pixel 6 Pro the value is set by customs when the PSID is made, and it may not be US$110. The calculator opens on US$110 because it is FBR's published figure; if your PSID shows another value, choose "Enter value in US$" and type it.

Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6a

Used phone FBR value Passport CNIC, filer
Pixel 6 Pro US$110 Rs 13,158 Rs 14,694
Pixel 6 US$94 Rs 7,713 Rs 9,040
Pixel 6a US$82 Rs 7,116 Rs 8,286

The 6 Pro's value is only a little above the Pixel 6's, yet its bill is much higher. The reason is the US$100 line: the Pixel 6 and 6a stay in the US$30 to 100 slab, with Rs 2,400 regulatory duty and a Rs 200 levy, while the 6 Pro moves up to Rs 6,000 and Rs 600. For Google's 2024 flagship, see the Pixel 9 Pro XL PTA tax page.

Before you pay

  • Check first. Dial *#06# and send the IMEI to 8484. A set already registered by a previous owner needs no tax; one that shows as not registered owes the amount above.
  • Passport window. The passport route is open for 60 days after you arrive in Pakistan. After that, register on CNIC.
  • eSIM. Pixel 6 Pro sets carry an eSIM as well as a nano-SIM, so *#06# can show a second IMEI. Each IMEI shown needs to be registered.
  • Other phones. The OnePlus 13R PTA tax page covers a newer Android phone in a higher slab.

Google Pixel 6 Pro PTA tax questions

What is Google Pixel 6 Pro PTA tax in Pakistan in 2026?

About Rs 13,158 on passport and Rs 14,694 on CNIC for a filer, at FBR's used value of US$110 and Rs 276.66 to the dollar. These use the rates in force from 1 July 2026, which cut the regulatory duty in this slab from Rs 7,500 to Rs 6,000.

What is Pixel 6 Pro PTA tax on CNIC?

About Rs 14,694 for a filer and Rs 14,794 for a non-filer. CNIC adds Rs 1,217 additional customs duty and Rs 100 withholding tax, which a non-filer pays twice over.

Why is the Pixel 6 Pro taxed more than the Pixel 6?

Because FBR values the used 6 Pro at US$110 and the Pixel 6 at US$94, on either side of the US$100 line. The 6 Pro pays the higher slab's regulatory duty and levy, so its passport bill is Rs 13,158 against Rs 7,713.

Does a traveller pay PTA tax on US$110 for a Pixel 6 Pro?

Not necessarily. US$110 is FBR's value for used phones imported in commercial quantity. Its passenger rule, in ruling 1834/2023, points to a list with no Pixel models, so customs set the value for a phone you bring in. The PSID shows the value used.

Will the levy on the Pixel 6 Pro go down?

The 2026-27 budget proposed a lower levy for phones valued between US$100 and US$200. The calculator still uses Rs 600, the figure set in 2022. If your PSID shows a lower levy, your total is lower by the difference.

Worked at FBR's used value of US$110, Rs 276.66 to the US dollar (State Bank, 6 November 2026) and the duty and tax rates in force from 1 July 2026. The PSID from DIRBS is the amount you pay.
