Government taxes and fees come to Rs 4,800, which is 2.0% of the price.

Punjab stopped making government number plates and stopped charging a plate fee in February 2026. Owners have plates made in the market to the approved design; that cost is not an excise charge.

A new Honda 125 costs Rs 4,800 to register in Punjab in 2026. The registration fee for a 101 to 125cc motorcycle is Rs 2,000, the lifetime token tax Rs 1,500 and the smart card Rs 1,300. The same applies to any 125cc bike, and once paid there is no yearly token.

In Islamabad, Karachi and Peshawar the bill is built differently, so the calculator asks for your province and the price on your invoice. Bikes of this size pay no advance income tax, so filer status does not change the total.

Honda 125 registration cost by province

What each province charges for a new 125cc bike, at an example price of Rs 240,000 (the price matters only in Sindh and KP):

ProvinceRegistration feeToken taxSmart cardNumber platesTotal
PunjabRs 2,000Rs 1,500Rs 1,300NoneRs 4,800
SindhRs 2,400Rs 1,800NoneRs 1,850Rs 6,050

Khyber PakhtunkhwaRs 2,400Rs 2,500NoneRs 892Rs 5,792
BalochistanAt the counterRs 1,500NoneAt the counterRs 1,500 plus counter fees

In Islamabad and Balochistan the motorcycle registration fee and number plates are paid at the excise counter and are not in these totals. Your challan shows them.

Worked example: a CG 125 registered in Karachi

Sindh charges a share of the price, so start from the invoice. For an example price of Rs 240,000:

Item Rule Amount
Registration fee 1% of the price (up to 149cc) Rs 2,400
Lifetime token tax Bikes up to 149cc Rs 1,800
Ajrak number plates Motorcycle Rs 1,850
Total Rs 6,050

The same bike in Punjab costs Rs 4,800 and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rs 5,792. A 150cc bike in Sindh moves to 2% of the price and a Rs 3,000 token, so the 125 sits in the cheaper band.

Buying a used bike in Islamabad? Motorcycle transfers there pay no fee, only the smart card: see the islamabad bike transfer fee.

Why a 125 costs more than a 70 in Punjab

Punjab sets a fixed registration fee for each engine band, while the token and smart card are the same for every motorcycle. So the whole difference between a 70cc and a 125cc bike is the registration fee:

Engine band Registration fee Total with token and card
Up to 70cc Rs 1,000 Rs 3,800
71 to 100cc Rs 1,500 Rs 4,300
101 to 125cc Rs 2,000 Rs 4,800
126 to 150cc Rs 2,500 Rs 5,300

For the smaller bike see the 70cc bike registration fee in punjab, and for bigger or other engines the main page on bike registration fees in pakistan.

How the price moves the fee in Sindh and KP

Registration taxes and fees for a 125cc bike at example prices:

Price of the 125cc bikePunjabSindhKhyber Pakhtunkhwa
Rs 200,000Rs 4,800Rs 5,650Rs 5,392
Rs 240,000Rs 4,800Rs 6,050Rs 5,792
Rs 280,000Rs 4,800Rs 6,450Rs 6,192
Rs 320,000Rs 4,800Rs 6,850Rs 6,592

Punjab's figure stays the same at any price. In Sindh and KP the registration fee is a share of the price, so it rises with it.

After registration

The Rs 1,500 token in Punjab is a lifetime payment, so nothing is due each July. If you sell the bike, Punjab charges the buyer the token again, less 10% for each year of the bike's age if it is sold within 10 years, plus the transfer fee; the bike transfer fee calculator works that out. Register within 30 days of buying the bike, or Punjab adds Rs 500 as a late fee.

The prices used here are examples, not Atlas Honda's or any other maker's price list. Fancy number charges and dealer service charges are not included. Your excise challan is final.

What is the Honda 125 registration fee in Punjab in 2026?

What is the Honda 125 number registration fee?

Number registration means the registration fee, the first token and the smart card together: Rs 4,800 in Punjab for 2026-27. If the dealer registers the bike for you under Punjab Excise's dealer system, it may add a service charge of up to Rs 500 for a motorcycle.

What is the 125cc bike registration fee in Islamabad?

Islamabad charges a lifetime token of Rs 1,000 for bikes up to 200cc and Rs 2,400 for the smart card, Rs 3,400 together. The registration fee and number plates are paid at the excise counter on top of that.

Does a non-filer pay more to register a 125cc bike?
