GEPCO is the Gujranwala Electric Power Company. It supplies Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad and Mandi Bahauddin. It charges the same national tariff as every other company in Pakistan.
GEPCO unit rate 2026
GEPCO home rates come from the NEPRA tariff of February 2026. The 201 to 300 slab is Rs 33.10 per unit and the 301 to 400 slab is Rs 36.46. Fixed charges are Rs 350 per kW in the first and Rs 400 per kW in the second.
Unprotected homes do not get a slab benefit. The rate for the slab you land in is charged on every unit you used. That is why the step from 300 to 301 units is so large. Full rates are on the unit price page.

One extra unit costs Rs 1,375.84. If your reading is close to 300, it pays to watch the last few days of the month.
Electricity duty for GEPCO homes
GEPCO's area is all in Punjab. Punjab passed a law in 2025 exempting homes from electricity duty, but a Punjab (LESCO) bill from April 2026 still charged 1.5%.
Check your bill for an "electricity duty" line. If it is not there, untick the duty box. For 300 units, the bill without duty is about Rs 14,599.26.
Reading your GEPCO bill
Use the units consumed for the month and the sanctioned load in kW. Both are printed on the bill. If you run a small shop from the same meter, note that this calculator is for domestic tariff only.
The adjustments on your bill may be shown as "FPA" or "fuel price adjustment" and "QTA". If the per unit figures differ from the defaults, change them under Adjustments and taxes.

What is the GEPCO per unit price today?
GEPCO charges the February 2026 NEPRA rates. Unprotected homes pay Rs 22.44 to Rs 47.20 per unit depending on the slab, and protected homes Rs 10.54 or Rs 13.01. After adjustments and taxes, 300 unprotected units cost about Rs 49.29 each.

Why is my GEPCO bill so much higher at 301 units?
Because all units move to the next slab rate, not just the extra one. At 300 units every unit is Rs 33.10. At 301 every unit is Rs 36.46, and the fixed charge rises from Rs 350 to Rs 400 per kW.
Is the GEPCO rate the same as LESCO and FESCO?
Yes. All distribution companies and K-Electric charge one uniform national tariff from February 2026, and the fuel and quarterly adjustments are set in the same NEPRA decisions.
