Punjab University dues have two parts each semester: the "A" fee, which depends on your department and on whether your seat is regular (morning) or self-supporting, and the "B" charges: Rs 8,500 service charges and an examination fee, usually Rs 4,800. For admissions 2024 to 2026, the A fee for FCIT programmes such as BS Computer Science is Rs 55,000 on a regular seat and Rs 132,500 on a self-supporting seat. A new regular FCIT student pays Rs 84,950 in the first semester, including the one-time admission charges.

The registration fee is charged at admission to students not already registered with the university. Library security is refundable.

Other charges that may apply
The schedule adds some charges only to certain programmes or classrooms:
- Field work charges of Rs 2,500 a semester, where field work is mandatory.
- Accreditation fee of Rs 2,000 a semester, where applicable.
- AC charges of Rs 3,500 in the spring semester, where classrooms have air conditioning.
- Pakistan Bar Council registration of Rs 3,000 for LLB students, at admission.
- Foreign students and students on reserved seats for overseas Pakistanis pay US$500 a semester on top of the normal fee.

Punjab University fee questions
What is the Punjab University fee per semester?
A fee plus B charges. On regular seats a spring semester costs Rs 43,250 for BS Commerce, Rs 56,090 for BBA (IBA) and Rs 69,500 for FCIT programmes. Fall semesters add the Rs 950 sports and mosque fund.
What is the PU fee for self-supporting programmes?
Self-supporting seats have a higher A fee: Rs 132,500 for FCIT, Rs 94,400 for BBA (IBA), Rs 78,650 for Applied Psychology and English, and Rs 47,300 for Commerce, against Rs 55,000, Rs 42,790, Rs 35,575 and Rs 29,950 on regular seats.
How much is the first semester fee at Punjab University?
The first semester adds the Rs 9,000 registration fee, Rs 500 PU Development Fund and Rs 5,000 refundable library security to that semester's dues. For BBA (IBA) on a regular seat it is Rs 71,540; for BS Economics Rs 64,325.
What is the Pharm-D fee at Punjab University?
For 2026 admissions the A fee is Rs 55,000 a semester on a regular seat and Rs 132,500 on a self-supporting seat. Over 10 semesters at this year's dues, the regular degree comes to Rs 702,250.
Why is the exam fee different for my programme?
The schedule sets a higher examination fee for some departments, charged every semester instead of Rs 4,800: Rs 5,475 for Accounting and Finance, Rs 6,000 for FCIT and Physics, and Rs 9,487 for the Faculty of Engineering. The calculator uses the right one for each programme.
Is the PU library security refundable?
Yes. The Rs 5,000 library security charged at admission is refundable. The registration fee and PU Development Fund are not.
