An Allied Bank IBAN is PK, two check digits, ABPA and your 16-digit account number, which usually starts 0010. Allied Bank's own IBAN tool asks for exactly these 16 digits.

Some documents show ABL numbers as 20 digits: the 4-digit branch code, then the 16-digit account number. Allied Bank's own sheet of account formats describes both 13 digits (branch code and 9 digits) and 20 digits (branch code and 16 digits). The IBAN uses only the 16-digit account number. If you type all 20 digits, the calculator drops the branch code for you.
We checked this against real ABL IBANs published with their account numbers by TCF and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, including one printed as branch code plus 16 digits. All match, and the ABL IBANs published by Al-Shifa Trust also pass the ISO check. We have not checked older 13-digit numbers; if yours has 13 digits, get the 16-digit number from the myABL app or the branch.
Where to find your ABL IBAN
The 16-digit account number and the IBAN are under account details in the myABL app. The account number is also on your cheque book and statement. Allied Bank's IBAN page gives a sample, PK36ABPA0000123456789012, to show the layout; it is an illustration and does not pass the ISO check, so do not use it to test a tool.

- 16-digit part: the account number itself, 0010012345670011.
- Rearranged: ABPA0010012345670011PK00.
- Letters to numbers (A = 10, B = 11, P = 25, K = 20): 101125100010012345670011252000.
- Remainder after dividing by 97: 42. Check digits: 98 minus 42 = 56.

What is Allied Bank's IBAN bank code?
ABPA, the first four letters of Allied Bank's SWIFT code. Every ABL IBAN starts PK, two check digits, then ABPA.
How many digits is an Allied Bank account number?
The account number used in the IBAN has 16 digits and usually begins 0010. Statements may add a 4-digit branch code in front, making 20. The IBAN leaves the branch code out.
My ABL account number has 13 digits. What do I do?
That is the older format: a 4-digit branch code and a 9-digit account number. We have not confirmed how these map to an IBAN, so get your 16-digit number or IBAN from myABL or the branch rather than guessing.
Can I check an ABL IBAN before sending money?
Yes. Switch to Check an IBAN and paste it. A valid ABL IBAN has 24 characters, starts PK, has ABPA in characters 5 to 8 and passes the mod 97 test. Your banking app then shows the account title before you confirm.
