A UBL IBAN for a 12-digit account is PK, two check digits, UNIL, then 0112 and the 12-digit account number. The branch code is not part of it. A 12-digit UBL account is often written like 0123-0456789-0.

UBL differs from most banks. Its IBAN is not just the account number padded with zeros: 12-digit accounts get the prefix 0112. We checked this against real UBL IBANs published with their 12-digit account numbers by TCF and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust; every one reads UNIL0112 followed by the 12 digits, and passes the ISO check.
Older 9-digit UBL accounts appear in published IBANs as 0109000 followed by the 9 digits. We have not seen one printed next to its account number, so treat an IBAN made from a 9-digit number as less certain and confirm it with UBL.
Where to find your UBL IBAN
Open account details in the UBL Digital app, where the IBAN is shown with the account number. It is also on your bank statement. The account number is printed on your cheque book; some statements show the 4-digit branch code in front of it, but the IBAN uses only the 12-digit account number.
Allied Bank's sheet of account formats for interbank transfers lists UBL numbers as a 4-digit branch code with either 9 or 12 account digits.
Worked example
Account number 0123-0456789-0:
- 16-digit part: 0112 + 012304567890 = 0112012304567890.
- Rearranged: UNIL0112012304567890PK00.
- Letters to numbers (U = 30, N = 23, I = 18, L = 21, P = 25, K = 20): 302318210112012304567890252000.
- Remainder after dividing by 97: 86. Check digits: 98 minus 86 = 12.
IBAN: PK12 UNIL 0112 0123 0456 7890. Generic IBAN tools that only pad the account number with zeros would give a different, wrong IBAN for UBL. For other banks, use the IBAN generator for all banks.
Confirm the IBAN in UBL Digital or on your statement before you share it. A wrong IBAN can send money astray. This site is not linked to UBL.

UNIL, the first four letters of UBL's SWIFT code. Every UBL IBAN starts PK, then two check digits, then UNIL.
Why does my UBL IBAN have 0112 in it?
UBL builds the 16-digit part of its IBAN from a 4-digit prefix and your 12-digit account number. For 12-digit accounts the prefix is 0112 in every published UBL IBAN we checked. It is not your branch code.
I have a UBL account number with a branch code in front. What do I type?
Type only the 12-digit account number. The branch code is not part of the UBL IBAN. If you type 16 digits the calculator will tell you the length is wrong.
Is my old 9-digit UBL account covered?
The calculator will build an IBAN from a 9-digit number using the 0109000 prefix seen in published UBL IBANs. We could not confirm this against a published account number, so check the result with UBL before you use it.
