A Meezan Bank IBAN is PK, two check digits, MEZN, then 00 and your 14-digit account number. The 14 digits are your 4-digit branch code followed by the 10-digit account number, as printed on your cheque book, for example 0101-0101234567.
Type the 14 digits above, with or without the dash, and the IBAN appears. For 0101-0101234567 it is PK05 MEZN 0001 0101 0123 4567.

Meezan's own IBAN page asks for the 4-digit branch code and the 10-digit account number, and puts two zeros before them. We checked this rule against three real Meezan IBANs published with their account numbers by TCF and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust. All three match and pass the ISO check, as does the Meezan IBAN published by Al-Shifa Trust.
Where to find your Meezan IBAN
Meezan Bank says it prints the IBAN on the account statements it sends every six months. The 14-digit account number is printed on your cheque book, and both are shown under your account details in the Meezan mobile app and internet banking. If you only have the 10-digit account number, the branch code is on the cheque book too.
If the IBAN you make here differs from the one on your statement, trust the statement and ask the branch.
Worked example
Branch code 0101, account number 0101234567:
- 16-digit part: 00 + 0101 + 0101234567 = 0001010101234567.
- Rearranged: MEZN0001010101234567PK00.
- Letters to numbers (M = 22, E = 14, Z = 35, N = 23, P = 25, K = 20): 221435230001010101234567252000.
- Remainder after dividing by 97: 93. Check digits: 98 minus 93 = 05.
IBAN: PK05 MEZN 0001 0101 0123 4567.
One caution: the sample on Meezan's own IBAN page, built from branch 0101 and account 1234567890, is shown as PK10MEZN0001011234567890. That sample does not pass the ISO check; the formula gives check digits 39. It looks like a made-up illustration, and every real Meezan IBAN we tested passes. How many digits is a Meezan Bank account number?
Fourteen: a 4-digit branch code and a 10-digit account number, usually written with a dash, such as 0101-0101234567. The IBAN adds PK, two check digits, MEZN and two zeros in front, making 24 characters in all.
What is Meezan Bank's IBAN bank code?
MEZN. It is the first four letters of Meezan's SWIFT code and comes right after PK and the two check digits. Every Meezan IBAN therefore starts PK, then two digits, then MEZN.
Can I use the IBAN for Raast or IBFT?
Yes. For transfers inside Pakistan you can give either the IBAN or the account number, and the sender's app shows your account title before they confirm. For remittances from abroad, give the IBAN along with Meezan's SWIFT code from the bank.
My Meezan IBAN from this page does not match my statement. Which is right?
The statement. Check that you typed all 14 digits including the branch code. If they are right and the IBANs still differ, ask your branch; some older or special accounts may be numbered differently.
