The TOEFL iBT exam fee in Pakistan is US$230, set by ETS, which runs the test. At Rs 277.12 a dollar (State Bank rate, 29 September 2026) that is about Rs 63,700, or about Rs 64,056 once a filer's 0.5% card advance tax is added.

ETS prices exclude VAT and other local taxes outside the EU, so in Pakistan the card advance tax is added by your bank on top.
Deadlines that change the fee
- Regular registration closes 7 full days before the test date. After that you can still book, but you pay the US$49 express fee.
- Rescheduling costs US$69 and must be done at least 4 full days before the test.
- Cancelling by the deadline returns 50% of the test fee, which is US$115. After the deadline nothing is returned.
- Free score reports: up to four institutions, chosen until 10 pm local test centre time the day before the test. Each report added after that costs US$29.
The cheapest route is to book at least a week ahead and have your four universities decided before test day.
Worked examples
Standard booking, filer. US$230 x Rs 277.12 = Rs 63,738. Advance tax at 0.5% = Rs 319. Total about Rs 64,056.
Six universities instead of four. Two extra reports at US$29 = US$58, so US$288 in all: about Rs 79,811, plus Rs 399 tax = Rs 80,210.
Booked late and rescheduled once. US$230 + US$49 + US$69 = US$348, about Rs 96,438, plus Rs 482 tax = Rs 96,920. That is Rs 32,864 more than a standard booking for the same test.
Non-filer, standard booking. The tax doubles to 1%: Rs 637, total about Rs 64,375.
Score review and express scoring
If you think a Speaking or Writing score is wrong, ETS will rescore that section for US$80, or both for US$160. Only Speaking and Writing scores can be reviewed. Express Scoring, for faster results when a deadline is close, costs US$129.
Other charges on the ETS list: US$20 to reinstate scores you cancelled, and US$30 if a payment is returned.
Paying from Pakistan
You register and pay on the ETS website with a credit or debit card. The charge is in US dollars, so your bank converts it at its card rate and deducts section 236Y advance tax: 0.5% if you are on the Active Taxpayers List, 1% if not. The tax is adjustable in your return.
