What the e-visa gives you
The ASAN e-visa is a single entry visa. It is valid for 90 days from issue and allows a stay of up to 30 days in Azerbaijan. Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the end of the e-visa.
The $20 state fee is charged for reviewing the application and is not refunded under any circumstances. The $9 service fee covers processing the application on the portal. There is no child discount: a child travelling on a parent's passport still needs their own e-visa and pays the same fee.
Apply at least 3 working days before arrival. The portal also offers an urgent e-visa, issued within 3 hours even on holidays, at a higher state fee that is shown on the payment page before you pay. Payment is by card, and the e-visa is sent by email as a PDF to print.

Work visas and longer stays
The e-visa is for tourism, visiting friends and short business trips. It does not allow work. Pakistanis going to Azerbaijan for a job need a work permit arranged by the employer in Azerbaijan and a work visa, which is not issued through the e-visa portal and has its own fees.
