Punjab charges driving licence fees per year of validity: Rs 450 a year for a motorcycle, Rs 1,350 for a car and Rs 1,850 for LTV, HTV and PSV. A fresh licence adds a test fee of Rs 50 to Rs 200, and every printed licence adds Rs 480 for courier.

Rs 480 courier is added to every renewal. The fine is added once, on top of the yearly fees.

Renewed on time, the same licence would cost Rs 7,230. Renewing before the expiry date saves the fine.
Motorcycle and car on one licence, new, 3 years. Test fee Rs 200, the car fee applies to both: Rs 1,350 x 3 = Rs 4,050, courier Rs 480. Rs 4,730.
Lost LTV licence. Duplicate Rs 150 plus Rs 480 courier, Rs 630. An HTV or combined licence is Rs 200 plus courier, Rs 680.
Tractors, rickshaws and the international licence
Rickshaw drivers pay Rs 400 a year and a Rs 100 test fee. An agricultural tractor licence is Rs 950 a year with a Rs 50 test, and a commercial tractor Rs 1,400 a year with a Rs 100 test. A licence for an invalid carriage is free apart from the Rs 480 courier.
The international driving licence is issued for 1 or 3 years at the same yearly fee as your category. A car holder going abroad for three years pays Rs 1,350 x 3 = Rs 4,050, plus courier, Rs 4,530. An LTV or HTV holder pays Rs 6,030 for three years.
