The Multan to Sukkur motorway toll tax for a car, jeep or taxi is Rs 1,500 one way and Rs 3,000 return on the M-5, from 10 July 2026. It was Rs 1,200 before, so the car toll rose by a quarter. A wagon pays Rs 2,200, a coaster or minibus Rs 3,250, a bus Rs 4,600, a 2 or 3 axle truck Rs 5,950 and an articulated truck Rs 7,250.

A wagon means a van of up to 12 seats, such as a Hiace. The coaster class covers vehicles of 13 to 24 seats, which includes most minibuses. Trucks are charged by type: a 2 or 3 axle rigid truck, or an articulated truck with a trailer.
Why the M-5 costs more than the M-1
The M-5 runs about 392 km from Multan to Sukkur, longer than the Lahore to Islamabad M-2, so its full-length toll is higher. A car pays Rs 1,500 for Multan to Sukkur against Rs 700 for Islamabad to Peshawar on the M-1 and Rs 1,430 for Lahore to Islamabad on the M-2.
For goods transport the gap between classes matters more than for cars. An articulated truck pays Rs 7,250 one way, almost five times the car toll, and a 2 or 3 axle truck pays Rs 5,950. Fleet owners who run Karachi to Punjab freight over the M-5 should budget the toll per trip alongside diesel.

A transporter runs an articulated truck from Multan to Sukkur and back five times a month.
- One way: Rs 7,250
- Return: 2 x Rs 7,250 = Rs 14,500
- Five round trips: 5 x Rs 14,500 = Rs 72,500 a month
